We are a mother daughter duo very interested in raising and releasing monarch butterflies.  In 2014, my daughter was born while we resided in Iowa.  During that time, I was privileged enough to work with Iowa State, learning about prairie gardens and the importance of pollinators.  When I first witnessed the monarch butterfly, it brought a sense of closeness to my heart.  I lost my mother in 2000, and when I see the butterflies, I feel it is her coming to say hello.  From then on I became consumed with them.  I went full force raising them in 2019 when I relocated to Orlando, Florida.  

The thing that really is interesting is the transformation and life of the butterfly.  The tiny egg laid on the milkweed to the hungry caterpillar, then watched them make their jade gold lined chrysalis.  The monarch is literally a  pile of goo before emerging with wings of wonder to fly off into the skies.  It is a joy to watch and purposeful to be a part of.  I have a couple social media sites that have documented many videos of the first flight of over thousands of butterflies.
